Things of beauty...

A whole lot of soul-searching has gone on this week and I think I have come to a conclusion that I am content with. It's funny isn't it how life makes you do these mental audits every now and then; this one has been brewing for a while and now I have decided - it's all OK I will stay as is. I got a present from my husband; he arrived home last night, a rainy Thursday, with a package from Mulberry. I had an inkling it was coming but still, let's just say that I slept with my new handbag next to my bed just like when I was little and I had new shoes and couldn't have them far from me overnight! Old habits die hard.

I have had some wonderful comments this week from readers of my little blog and it has warmed me to know that people out there empathise. So thank you.

I have a weekend ahead of catching up with friends, we have the task of teaching the kids to play Monopoly and generally trying to re-group before another working week next week. I am working on a new project that is testing my brain capacity - but I kinda like how that feels. And any day now I will become an Auntie again...literally counting down til my lovely sister in law Natasha has her babe!

    AHHHH!! Where is the bag?? I have been eyeing a new satchel bag from Mulberry...I think it would be the perfect bag from running around the ciy. So....when you have a moment..just a little hint of which one!! What a dreamy husband you have Lou...just like these images.

    Dear Lou,
    It's lovely to hear that you've worked things out in your mind and are pretty content with your lot. We all have these moments from time to time....me, not so much but, that's just the way I am ( it's in the genes!!)
    You have so much that is wonderful in your life including a lovely husband who knows what you like !! Do you know, I can remember when I was about 12 ( yes, I can remember that far back !! haha ) and I had a new pair of red patent leather shoes with a small heel. When I went to bed, I put them in a olace that I could see them from every position ....I can still see them. Do we all do that, I wonder ? I still do it now !!

    Lovely to hear that after your mental audit you realise all is really fine. We all need to take stock and audit every now and then, in the same way we check a map when we are on a journey; life is our journey. We just have to try and remind ourselves every now and them to enjoy the trip despite the potholes!!
