Here, with me...

Friday night curry, Saturday morning lie-in; much anticipated.

London town - oh, how it has come into its own - a laudable 'hurrah' and a 'told you so' to all the naysayers!

Kate, Kate, Kate...

So proud to be British, I could burst...

Late night Olympic coverage; tears as stories emerge about achieving a medal...

Attending the Olympic cross-country equestrian eventing in Greenwich Park. In awe at the spectacle of the horses.

Clearing, decluttering, simplifying, living the Zen Habits...

My children at tennis camp all week - tanned legs and faces.

Counting down to Portugal...this time next week! Ideally sporting Sophie's style...

Pillar box red toenails...pedicure heaven.

Working really hard at circuit training, twice this week. Bikini body needed!

Homegrown new potatoes from my vegetable garden...so pleasing!

An eclectic stack of books on order (a lovely and reliable summer reading list found here!) - ready for sun lounger lazing...

Glass positively half full...

  1. Oh I know Lou, these Olympics are proving to be a stunning success. I too went to the cross country at Greenwich Park, simply stunning. I have cried with pride and been in awe of all nations and their amazing athletes. Wonderful.

  3. Oh Lou,
I have not really moved from our sofa since the Opening Ceremony !!!! I love it all ....and, your so right, I saw Peter Wilson when he saw his dad ...... more tears from me !!!! Andy Murray is in the final of the tennis but has to get past Roger Federer again !! Love the rowing, the cycling and the swimming. I used to be quite a good swimmer ( I even have medals for it !!) I'm afraid that I'd rather just watch it now with a glass of wine !! I have just loved the way that Will and Kate and all of the Royal family have supported these Olympics and, so far, we have done the most wonderful job ..... that cauldron is the best one EVER and I've seen a few in my time !!!! Also, the venues are so spectacular. I can't think of any other games that could put on such a show.
I am sure that you and your family are really looking forward to your holiday ..... warm sun, lovely beaches and good food and drink always give us a lift.
Just want to apologise for not being around lately ..... my new MacBook Pro takes a bit of getting used to !!
Enjoy the Olympics and here's to more medals for team GB. XXXX
